The Apu Lodge has a very authentic feel at the top of a pedestrian cobblestone alley in a quiet part of town. We were met at the town square with a luggage cart, and our suitcases were brought up for us. Thank goodness, the wheels might not survive the cobblestone Inca streets! The staff is delightful, and willing to help in any way. Suggestion: Be considerate and travel light in this country. Laundry service was available and dirt cheap for a great job. Breakfast was delicious and coffee ready early. Coca and Muna Tea and filtered water always available. Rooms were small but adequate for two people with luggage. We booked the family room on the second floor. It has four beds. The bathroom was small for four people, but we liked the roominess of the room. And it has a small balcony.

We absolutely LOVE the location of Apu lodge. Even though its a bit of a hike to reach with suitcases from the square, that means that it is so very quiet and peaceful. The garden is a beautiful, healing place, with many hummingbirds and songbirds and butterflies. The staff are oh-so friendly, cooking us handmade omelets for breakfast each morning & fresh-squeezed orange juice. There are several small hikes easily doable from Apu lodge, making it a great hub for exploring local Incan ruins.

The hotel is at the edge of town, so there is a beautiful view, overlooking the whole town on one side of the room, and the other had a view of the mountains. The staff was friendly and helped us find a great restaurant in town. Its a charming location.

There were a few things we loved about Apu Lodge. First was the staff: They were incredibly friendly and informative. The location was nice as it was located just up the road for the turn off the free ruins hike, so it was convenient to take that little extra hike.

Travel for vacation with family and friends from Australia. Staff were very helpful with any requests, and happy to assist with our little amount of Spanish we spoke. Room was roomy and comfortable and had a great little balcony overlooking the town and ruins on the hill. Foyer/ reception was approachable and welcoming. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Room was exceptional value for money given size. Location is fantastic, within easy walk down a beautiful cobbled street to the main square and far enough away to be removed from the noise and feel like you lose yourself to the landscape. It was a great base for exploring this amazing little town. We stayed for 2 nights and could easily have stayed longer as the people were so friendly and it felt like a world away from the hustle and bustle of home. Highly recommend. Do not just book and stay in Cusco. If you are going to Machu Picchu stay here. You will not regret it.

Beautiful hotel with lovely garden and amazing space to relax with great views. The room was big, comfy and quiet, with a very clean bathroom and powerful hot shower. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Lovely breakfast made to order. One of us was feeling unwell and the staff went out of their way to help. They let us check in early so we could lie in bed and Jose very kindly made us cups of mint tea from herbs from the garden. Would definitely recommend.

Wow. This place is probably one of the best places we have stayed in Peru. The place is so charming and the garden is lovely, blooming and green. Its so much better than staying in Cusco, I definitely recommend you booking this place here and enjoying the peace and quiet it offers. The staff is super nice, welcoming, we even left our luggage for 2 days there for free, while we stayed in Macchu Pichu. Cannot recommed more.
